Papaya is a good source of Vitamin A and papain. Vitamin A acts as an anti-oxidant, while the papain breaks down inactive proteins and removes dead skin cells, thereby making it a natural skin exfoliator. The exotic fruit is also low in sodium resulting in very little water retention, and ultimately hydrated skin overall. Papaya serves as a great skin-firming and anti-aging mask as well. Mash the uneaten Papaya with or without milk and apply it on your face. It helps in removing blemishes, dark spots, evens out your skin tone by bringing a renewed glow to your face. Please note that papaya is an acidic fruit. So please don’t use it for more than 10 minutes at a time – it could cause dryness and may cause irritation to sensitive skins.
