New House of Dereon Ad Features Beyonce Looking FIERCE!

 

The Fall 2012 ad campaign for the House of Dereon clothing line has launched and it features our girl, Beyonce looking beautiful, confident, and fierce!   Queen B is definitely doing her thing in this ad!  The sultry starlet looks amazing as she flawlessly pulls off three different looks from the collection that she and her Mom, Tina Knowles run together.  The looks are complete from head-to-toe, featuring a fun fedora hat, a skin-tight short LBD (with cut-outs all in the right places), high-waisted pants and the leopard print is to die for!   Our verdict is that House Of Dereon has definitely stepped up their game, let us know what you think!

Your Dry Skin Will Love Papaya!

Papaya is a good source of Vitamin A and papain.  Vitamin  A acts as an anti-oxidant,  while the papain breaks down inactive proteins and removes dead skin cells, thereby making it a natural skin exfoliator. The exotic fruit is also low in sodium resulting in very little water retention, and ultimately hydrated skin overall. Papaya serves as a great skin-firming and anti-aging mask as well. Mash the uneaten Papaya with or without milk and apply it on your face.  It helps in removing blemishes, dark spots,  evens out your skin tone by bringing a renewed glow to your face.  Please note that papaya is an acidic fruit. So please don’t use it for more than 10 minutes at a time – it could cause dryness and may cause irritation to sensitive skins.  For a hydrating skin mask, mash papaya with honey and apply to your face.

This summer heat must be getting to everybody!  Alicia Keys had all the social networks buzzing today when she released her brand new short hairdo on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!  When Alicia Keys burst on the music scene, she was rocking braids.  We’ve all watched her evolve over the years into mature woman who is an accomplished artist, mother and wife.  Hey.. change is good!  We like the new look!  What are your thoughts??

TV One to Launch New Reality Show: R&B Divas

Face it…you can’t turn away from reality shows these days.  So here’s another to add to your long list of guilty pleasures.  Set to debut on Monday, August 20th, TVONE will be launching a new series entitled R&B Divas featuring  Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert, Keke Wyatt, Monifah Carter, Syleena Johnson. The show promises to take us inside the lives of these familiar faces , as they work, play and struggle to get their lives and careers back on track.  We’ll be able to follow the ladies each week as they deal with everyday struggles that we all face.

 

With all that being said, we just hope it will be a departure from the kind of shows we’ve been dealing with lately.  Time will tell!

Eve to Make a Fashion Comeback?

How many of you remember Eve’s fashion line, “Fetish”?  Well for those of you who were faithful Fetish fans, stay tuned, because it’s very likely that the rapper/actress/fashion designer will be hitting stores with a new line in the very near future.  Eve recently performed at the 2012 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans and revealed that her love of fashion lives on!  According to a recent interview, with the Huffington Post, Eve talks about her definite plans to re-emerge in the fashion world, but this time, expect to see more shoes than clothes.  Eve reveals “[The new line]  won’t be based on the clothes, it will be based on the shoes. I’m sure I’ll bring in some jewelry and handbags at some point. I love accessories!”  But fans will have to wait a little while longer, because the rapper also notes that we won’t see her new fashion line until after she drops some new music on us.  Well, we’re patiently waiting for both!
